UC 500 IPPBX دارای یک سیستم مبتنی بر استریسک و نرم افزار OpenVox IPPBX است. علاوه بر دارا بودن قابلیت یک PBX کامل دارای برق اضطراری (UPS) داخلی نیز می باشد.
دستگاه UC500 IPPBX با یک بدنه آلومینیومی ضد ضربه و ضد گرد و غبار بی نظیر ساخته شده است و در شرایط سخت صنعتی بدون نگرانی می توان از آن استفاده کرد.
این مرکز تلفن می تواند بصورت یکپارچه سازی با ترانکهای ویپ ادغام داشته باشد و با خطوط موجود PSTN تا ۸ پورت آنالوگ و ۲ پورت Ethernet اتصال برقرار کند.
با انتخاب گسترده ای از کدک ها و پروتکل های سیگنالینگ، از جمله G711 (alaw/ulaw), G722, OPUS, AMR-NB/WB, SILK, G723.1 G726, G729, GSM, ADPCM, iLBC, H263, H263P, H264, VP8 توسعه یافته است. از دیگر خصوصیات می توان به استفاده کامل از پلت فرم منبع باز اشاره کرد. محصولات سری UC اپن واکس از ترانکهای SIP، IAX2، analog PSTN trunks و analog station trunks پشتیبانی می کنند و با دارا بودن امکاناتی کامل و سیستم نرم افزاری به روز OpenVox IPPBX راهکار مناسبی برای شرکت های متوسط و کوچک محسوب می شوند.
